Melanie Does Life - being pregnant :-)

Today I was at the exhibition Bodyworlds (german: Koerperwelten) in Heidelberg with two friends from school. It was very interesting and I am happy that we went there. I learned something today I did not understand the whole time and I am lucky about it. I visited the bodyworlds exhibition for the 3rd time now and I still like it. Maybe I go there again… *laugh*

There will be one in Zurich, in London and another one in Brussels… *whisper*

I was at the Blood Donor Center again. But this time I had an appointment. I talked to the lady in charge and then we started doing the paper work. Little by little I will get a red cross volunteer at LRMC in Landstuhl. *yipiieeehh*

Today I went to Susannes house to learn with her. She asked me lots of questions and I tried to answer them. Suprisingly I know more than I thought I would knew. I am happy about it. :-) We will see each other again in about 2 weeks. *happy*

I helped Jessy today to sort out some stuff. It took us about 2 hours to do that. Afterwards they invited me to the movies but I did not go. I went home to do some school work.

I am going to help Jessy today. I will meet her for lunch at her house and then I will help her with some stuff. I think I will be there the rest of the day then. Maybe we can go to the gym together - but I have to ask her first.

Manuel left Ramstein yesterday around noon. I know he would be in Qatar around 11:30pm and I told him not to call me before this morning. I thought that he has enough to do when he get there (e.g. get settled in etc).

He called this morning at 7:30 am and he’s fine and I am happy now. Because I know he is there and he’s good. *smile*

Ich hab meine beiden neuen Buecher bekommen. *freu*

Beide sind uber Heilpraktikersachen und Claudia hatte mit ihren Tipps recht. Beide Buecher sind super. *danke* Der “Crashkurs Heilpraktikerpruefung” hat die meisten Krankheiten in Kurzform aufgelistet und auch einige der fuer mich noch so unverstaendlichen Laborwerte sind da gleich mit bei. Das Buch ” Naturheilpraxis heute - Repitorium” ist eine Elvira in klein. Ohne Bilder und nur das wichtigste zusammengefasst. Echt gut um es auch mal im Bett oder im Zug zu lesen. Die Elvira ist dafuer ja viel zu schwer und unhandlich.

Jetzt bin mal gespannt, wie die Buecher sich in der Praxis bewaehren werden. :)

Gestern hab ich mich mit Claudi in SB getroffen und sie hat mir einige gute Tipps gegeben, wie ich besser lernen kann. Das fand ich voll schoen. Vielen Dank nochmal fuer die schoene Box. Die Idee mit dem ABC-Schema bin ich grade am Umsetzen. Punkt 1, 2 und 3 hab ich schon gemacht. Gleich kommt Punkt 4. :-)

Ausserdem hab ich mir direkt mal das eine Buch bestellt. Bei Thalia hatten sie es nicht vorraetig und jetzt hab ich bei Amazon geordert. Bin gespannt, wann das ankommt. Ich hab auf jeden Fall die Mail bekommen, dass es heute verschickt wurde. Mal sehen, ob es morgen oder uebermorgen ankommt. Bin schon ganz gespannt darauf. Denn in dem Buch sind die Krankheitsbilder schoen runtergebrochen und nicht so ausfuehrlich erklaert wie zB. in der Elvira.

Desweiteren hab ich mir dann gemerkt, dass Stenosen einer Druckbelastung entsprechen (weil die Klappe ja nicht richtig aufgeht), die Insuffizienzen einer Volumenbelastung (da ja Blut wieder zurückströmt).

Mit dem Spruch MIsT Diastolicum PiA kann man sich die Stenosen und Insuffizienzen der einzelnen Klappen gut merken.

MI - Mitralklappen
s - stenose
T - Trikuspidalklappen

P - Pulmonalklappe
i - insuffizienz
A - Aortenklappe

Da gilt dann die Sperma-Regel:
Unverhorntes mehrschichtiges Plattenepithel kommt überall da vor, wo Sperma hingelangen kann!

Sympathikus: Fight and flight
Parasympatikus: Rest and digest

Mit “Point und Shoot!” kann man sich die Aufgabenteilung von Sympathikus und Parasympathikus merken. Bei der männlichen Erektion und Ejakulation gilt: “Point und Shoot!”

Point (Zielen = Erektion) für Parasympathikus und
Shoot (Schießen = Ejakulation) für Sympathikus!

Die Größe der Milz wird mit 4 x 7 x 11 cm angegeben.

It was nice to see all these people again. And meet some new ones. The food was really delicious. We talked a lot and I learnd new things again. It was very nice. I think I was at home around 1:30am. Thanks to all - I liked it a lot.

Tonight I will meet some of my HPA-friends in Saarbruecken and we will eat at a indian restaurant. I just had indian food once before so I hope this will be good food. I am so happy that I can go and meet with them because I did not want to go until it was clear when Manuel is flying.

I still havn’t heared anything from the blood donor center in Landstuhl.
I wonder when I will hear anything from them…

We will eating out tonight at our favourite mexican restaurant here in Ramstein. My parents are coming over to say goodbye to Manuel and that’s the reason why we are going out. We will have some yummy food and a nice cold magaritha. They have the 2-4-1 Magaritha day today. *yeah*

when Manuel is deploying. That is kind of annoying because his planed date of leave is on Saturday. We still do not know it because there is no confirmation on the date.*ggrrhh* They should know that at least a few days in advance, Is it so hard to know when somebody takes a flight???

I am back from the orientation class at Landstuhl. The class was kind of interesting. We watched 2 movies. One was about the history of the american red cross and the other was about volunteering in a military hospital. Then we had to fill out a lot of papers and sign most of them. :-)

Afterwards I went to the ER but I could not talk to the person in charge about my volunteering there. Try it later again.

I will go soon to the orientation class at LRMC. After that I will become a red cross volunteer at LRMC. I don’t know yet what I am going to do over there but I will be fun. I am sure. Let you know more later when I am back.

I am so tired because we brought our friends to the Frankfurt airport this morning. I am still tired, I don’t know why. After we came back I went back to bed for approx. 2 hrs but it did not really help. I am still tired. Maybe I should stop reading and doing some stuff here and go back to bed… That is probably the best plan I heared today. :-)

Sorry I did not wirte something earlier. But I couldn’t. We had no electricity in half of our house for 3 days. That really sucks. It happend on Friday evening and we called our landlord. She sent her son to fix it but he couldn’t. It has something to do with the main fuses and we can not change them because the voltage is to high. So we had to wait for the elcetrician on Monday morning. He fixed it within a few minutes. But it still was kind of stupid. Why did we had to wait for 3 days???

We had no power for my computer and no power in the living room. The kitchen was out of power too. But the disher washer worked. Same thing in the upstairs bath room. The light and the power outlets worked but the water heater didn’t. Crazy stuff…

I can’t remember when I was so happy the last time to see an electrician. And the nicest thing was - I could taking a WARM shower afterwards. Yeahhh.

I can’t really belive it. It is 2009!

We had a nice meal (Raclette) and then we blow a lot of fireworks into the air at 12pm. Manuel and Juan hat a lot of fun doing that. And somebody hit my bootle of Mixery with a rocket. *wwahhh* After all of our firework was gone we had some visitors to wish us a happy new year. Then we went with them to the local pub where we stay some more time. I went home earlier because I was so tiered and I wanted to go to bed. The others stayed and followed me a few hours later.
